Daniel Pitin (*1977, Prague, Czechoslovakia) studied painting and conceptual media at the Academy of Fine Arts Prague (AVU) (1995-2002) with professors Zdeněk Beran and Miloš Šejn and is a leading figure among the generation of artists to have emerged since the fall of communism in Central and Eastern Europe.

Recent exhibitions include Galerie Rudolfinum, Prague (2019); Crystal Gardens, GRIMM, Amsterdam (2017); Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art (2012); Hudson Valley Center for Contemporary Art, Peekskill, NY and the Knoxville Museum of Art, Knoxville, TN (2011).

He lives and works in Prague, Czech Republic.
