Heidi Harsieber (*1948, Austria) studied photography at the Higher Graphical Federal Education and Research Institute in Vienna.
Her photographs explore the subtle tensions between intimacy, identity, and the body. Through a quiet, observant gaze, Harsieber reveals the psychological depth of everyday moments, balancing vulnerability with remarkable precision.
Her work has been exhibited at the Belvedere, Vienna; Ortner 2, Vienna; Galerie Fotohof, Salzburg; Museum der Moderne, Salzburg; Landesmuseum Niederösterreich in Krems; and Fotogalerie Wien. In 2025, the Landesgalerie Niederösterreich presented the major retrospective "Quer durch. Ein Leben mit der Fotografie", celebrating more than five decades of her photographic practice. Her work is included in numerous important collections.
She also taught at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and lives and works in Vienna and Gloggnitz, Austria.
